We had the opportunity to chat with a few of our customers about their experience receiving or gifting one of our personalized designs. Next up in the series: Katrina.
Katrina gifted her mom, Rachel, a Star Map for Christmas. In her words, “This was better than I could [have] ever expected! I got this for my mom’s Christmas present and she loved it! She even cried!”
I love you to the moon and back.
Previously, Katrina bought her mother a handmade necklace with her birthstone on it and a quote that said, “I love you to the moon and back.”
Continuing with a night sky themed gift, Katrina wrote her own quote for her mom’s Star Map: “You make up the brightest star in the constellation of my life.”
The days her and her siblings were born
The best way for Katrina to show her appreciation for her mom was to give her a little piece of her and her siblings. The Star Map she designed for her mom included a representation of each day that she and her siblings were born.
Katrina’s heart was pounding as she watched her mom unwrap the gift.
“She always cries when we get her stuff, but it’s still a nerve wracking moment for me,” Katrina said.
But once she opened it, she started crying and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, thank God.’
The Sentimental Meaning
Even though Katrina expected her mom's response, she gets nervous watching her mom unwrap gifts. She always hopes the sentimental meaning behind each gift shines through.
“I want [the gift] to be something personal...I want it to really show I care,” Katrina said.
